Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Society in general:
Lawyers have to be mean to be successful.
How I responded:
I learned from supervisors and teammates who showed me that the noise wasn't true--the best lawyers are prepared, determined, and thoughtful. They know how to think strategically and work with others to persuade and accomplish goals.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
Although my family was comfortable growing up, I had to finance my law school education on my own through a combination of loans and scholarships. It is important to think about what loan repayment will look like after school. and not overspend.
